Decentralizing with Dat

August 21, 2018

>dat clone dat://0fc44ecfb9c166e37032577864ecb1e50078ce39bd73a9902f0f10743c0c535a/

My site’s now available for browsing via the Dat P2P network. You can surf it with Beakerr or clone/share it to your desktop for more direct browsing.

Dat is the first thing in a while that’s gotten me really excited about tech possibilities. I love the idea of a decentralized internet, and I think this project is a great option for pushing that decentralization forward. I’m also really interested in the idea of properly decentralized hardware networks that don’t rely on current internet standards. N O D E has done a bit of work on that that I highly recommend checking out.

NOTE: My Dat server is still WIP and not always up. I don’t expect a lot of people to be sharing my site, so don’t be shocked if you can’t get to it immediately right now.
